70s psychedelia, today

Faraón is the solo project by catalan musician José Roselló, who used to be the drummer in the now-dissolved 12Twelve –one of the most important bands in Barcelona’s post-rock scene- and also a member of the new project Atleta. As Faraón he presents presents "Niño Vaquero", his second album using this stage name, which is clearly influenced by the experimental music of the 1970s. It is a sonic mantra in which the density of Popol Vuh, the rhythms of Cluster and the power of Glenn Branca combine with the perception of Pink Floyd or even contemporary artists such as Ligeti, Pierre Henry and Stockhausen.
